Thanks Amy, well said. And a small footnote: If financial liability were
ANY guarantee of responsibility, there would be no deadbeat dads,
collection agencies, foreclosures, bad debts, bankruptcies, embezzlements,
etc. etc. etc. In fact "financial responsibility" without moral concern is
arguably the worst of both worlds.
