Hello All,

I recently purchased a fair amount of gold chloride (25g),mainly for
gold toning pop prints. I bought it from Englehard, on recommendations
from others on this list, and I was surprised how rude the gentleman I
spoke with was. First, he didn't want to sell it to me and tried to
refer me to a different company that charged three times as much, and
then acted like he was doing me a huge favor by selling me such a small
amount. He implied that he wouldn't do so again. Anyway, I am interested
in trying some gold toning for warm tones on GSP's. Has anyone tried
Nelson's gold toner or other formulas for this effect? What is the
difference between a gold-toned print and one made using, say, Kodak
brown toner or Polytoner? I would be interested in any input before I
commit to using up gold.

thanks in advance,

William
