Bob:
In my hometown of San Rafael, waaaay out here in the area perched on the
edge of oblivion, lives one of the best of the Leica repairfolk who used to
have his office/shop in SF but retired. Willi Maeir is not costly and can
fix any damned camera in the world w/out sending it to the factory.

I took my Pentax LX's to him for cleaning and tuning and asked him how they
were when I picked them (cheaper than sending to the Pentax factory) and he
they were okay. "Okay!" , I said. "These are professional cameras!!!"
he answered with a big noooo. Well then asks I, what is a good camera. Oh,
he notes, Leica.

Otherwise, use that elastoseal stuff that was mentioned last year or so for
repairing bellows. But, you know, I'd just get it fixed right. You do
realize it is a Leica.
