Mercury ban and Dags

The news this morning included a story about Boston, Massachusetts banning
mercury thermometers because of fears about the mercury.

I think this has some implications for all of you doing Dags. Given the
statements in the article from ABC News on the contamination potential of
small amounts of mercury I'd say that a household ban is possible in the US.
