Help with dusting on Gums

Greetings

Need some ideas about applying a "dust" that is white onto a gumprint.
I am using white pigment on black Rives BFK. Adding the dust to the emulsion
didn't work...just washed off.

A while back there was mention of making a sticky emulsion and then "dusting
on." For those who have done this, a few questions:

What do you use to make the emulsion sticky?
Is it sticky during exposure (then how do you use your negative?) or sticky
after development? The latter I assume would be only sticky in the shadows
and the highlights could be tapped off after drying the print. The dry print
would not be tacky (sticky). This would be ideal for my purposes.

The prints I'm after are not meant to be part of an "installation," but a
permanent image whose "sticky" additions would not adversely affect the life
of the gumprint.

Only asking for the moon...

Thanks-
Carole
