Specks on my Ziatypes

Hello all,
I've just started making ziatypes and noticed a problem recently with black specks that show up during the coating of the paper.  I am coating Crane's Platinotype White with a rod using only Ammonium Ferric Oxalate and Lithium Palladium.  On the first few pases with the rod, everything is fine, then a black precipitate starts to form on subsequent pases.  This did not happen on the first few prints I made, but now seems to happen every time.  The chemicals are less than a month old.  Anyone have a clue as to what is going on, and how can I stop it?
