Yes. You did see the US version of Spirits of Salts. We knew it was coming
out in US but didn't realise it would be so soon.
Silver Pixel Press had discussions with a number of US book wholesalers who
objected to the title and the cover.They thought it had something to do with
alcohol or ghosts. So we had to exchange the cover pictures and the title.
We had no control over the choice of cover or title.But then we didn't have
much control over the original cover. Even worse, we get a much reduced
royalty! Our stupid publisher had advertised the title and the cover without
telling us. He even printed one of yhe rear cover pictures upside down. It
was only after we threatened to break both his arms and both his legs that
he changed it.
Thats' what comes of mixing in bad company - ie publishers.
However our French speaking readers may be interested to know that a French
language edition is being prepared. God help the person who has to translate
my English into French.
