I found the part on argyrotype in 'Coming into Focus' (John Barnier, ISBN
0-8118-1894-2) very well done. Clear and step-by-step instructions. I'm
afraid to say fool-proof, as I noticed years ago that every time they come
with a fool-proof something, they also come up with a better idiot.
Anyway, it's well done and cover in a concise way the process, from history
to toning.
About the paper, I found the papers I use for pl/pd work just fine. Cranes'
Kid Finish (with its %$@$%##!@ water mark, but I have a stock to finish),
Arches, Fabriano etc...
If you're interested in so-called alt processes, you may want to have a look
at this book. A mine of information.
