RE: Source for 1160 Printers for inkjet negatives



Also, a few days ago I saw that www.refurbdepot.com had 1160's in stock.
Dont know if they are still there or not.

Thought the testing never stops, Jon Cone's Piezography software and
quadtone inks (www.inkjetmall.com) still seem like a good way to go for
making desktop negatives for alt photo processes (in addition to making
great black and white prints on fine cotton papers).

Epson 1160 printers do a fine job with Cone's inks and software but have
gone out of production. As fate would have it, Epson stopped
manufacturing the 1160 just as word got out as to how good it was for
quadtone printing.

Geo Data Systems has 1160s and you can call (440) 888 4749.  The printers
are running $315.00 but they are new and come with the Epson Warranty.
And no, I don't get a kickback from the company. >;^D
