RE: Source for 1160 Printers for inkjet negatives



The MIS is a great bargain, but their regular quadtones don't dry fast
enough to be useful on the pictorico. They have a new product listed called
something like 'full spectrum' quadtone that dry's faster and may be
appropriate, someone would need to check it out. I would have if they had a
six ink version available, not until after August sometime. It is available
for the 1160 now however.

Another company which makes Quad tone inks at a price that is reasonable and
doesn't require software that is more expensive then the printer is MIS
Associates.

With a 1160 and these inks you should be able to do well for gum at a
fraction
of the Cone price (with much less attitude from the vendor as well). They
print nice pictures on watercolor paper too.
