Re: Scale for measuring grams
Another good place to look for equipment is at printing companies who are
either going out of business or going digital. Last year, for example, I
purchased a NuArc vacuum table and an Olite point light at an auction for
$2.00. I had to pay a little more for an Ohaus triple beam balance - $5.00.
(I missed out on a MacBeth densitometer - brand new - because I wasn't
prepared to pay over $15.00 for it, and it went for $20). Sometimes it pays
to live in the Midwest.

For anyone interested, I found a cooking scale in a chain store called
Lechters here in New York. Many have gone out of business. It is the
Salter
Electronic 3007 Aquatronic. It weighs grams and ounces, down to 1/4 oz.
(~7.5 g) increments. The best part is that they have a 40% off sale on all
kitchens "gadgets." I got it for $35.99 instead of $59.99.
