That must be why there is a Ski resort on Mt. Ashland & Shasta <G>... The
South bound pass has been closed a number of times the past 10 days. North
bound has also been hit. Here is the Siskiyou pass road cam link

I-5 is inland. Northern CA on Southern OR get most of the snow. They do a
good job of keeping it clean. However if there is a storm they close it for
the night if they can't keep up with it.

The coast mountains get very little if any snow. Mud slides are much more
common that snow around those parts.
