FYI about my own struggle with excess pyro non-image stain. What finally
worked with Rollo FOR ME IN MY OWN LAB was an acid stop bath and regular old
Kodak acid fixer with hardener - all of which contradict the bible written
by Hutchings. But you can't argue with the results - nice proportional image
stain. Moral: curiosity and tinkering can pay off.
