Photography is a young and changing form of art. Old techniques are combined
with the modern digital negatives, archival prints from digital photographs
and video cameras, transferring of drawings and prints to different surfaces
such as silk, wood, concrete, metal, glass, ceramics etc. These are just
some of the things we shall learn to do during this course.

Galina has been born and grown up in Moscow, graduated from an art academy
in Jerusalem and lived in Norway since 1986. She has been teaching in
photographic methods on ceramics, glass, metal and textile at different
institutions in the North and abroad. She has newly moved to a little town
Horten, one our drive to the south-west of Oslo, where a new National
Museum of Photography is opening on May 26 this year. The museum has a rich
collection, which is worth seeing.
