Hi:
There was a question about searching the archive.
The archives are currently at the site http://members.nbci.com/altphotoprc
. There is a search engine on this page - but it does not do a complete
search of the archive.
My current favorite search engine (http://www.google.ccm), does a complete
search of the archive and has a good web page for setting up very precise
queries.
Go to googles advanced search:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search
This page begins with 4 blanks where you can select the words you want to
search for:
Find results
with all of the words ____________
with any of the words ____________
with the exact phrase ____________
without the words ____________
It will accept more than one line at a time, making it possible to search
for items that contain certain words and/or phrases, but ignore items
with other words.
Domains: return results from the site or domain ______________
This blank allows one to restrict the search to one site. To search the
archives you would enter:
members.nbci.com
in this blank. This would restrict the seach to the site hosting the
archive. The search engine will return some items that are from other
sites hosted here, depending on the search terms.
Hope this is helpful
Gord
