Hi:
Sorry if I'm repeating myself...
This mailing list should be reasonably virus proof. A virus scanning
program (sophos) has been installed on the server that runs this mailing
list.
If a list participant's computer gets infected with an email distributed
virus and attempts to send a virus through the list the virus scanner
should catch it. The virus updates on this are done religiously.
The scanner replaces the contents virus laden attachment with a plain text
file explaining that the original file was a virus. People may get a
message that looks like the sircam (or any other email based virus), but
it should be harmless. If your not sure please delete it.
Everyone should have a good virus protection system on their computer.
I've personally recieved about 10 copies of sircam - all of them rendered
useless by the virus scanner.
Gord
