As a photographer, the idea of banning anything is a problem for me. If
you want to shoot nudes, there are those who will object. Then there is
the issue of who decides what to ban? I would love to be the one who
dictates what should be banned or not, but at the same time, I am GLAD
that I live in a country where there is no way I would be allowed to
dictate and impose my ideas on the rest of the country.
As for High explosives, most can purchase providing they have a reason.
Push button (Automatics or Switch blades) are readily available on the
web and readily available on eBay. How many ya Want? DDT can be had in
Mexico, as we still sell it there and other parts of the world. Children
can buy anything they want.
Banning ideas sounds great in principal, but it can be very dangerous in
the long run - for all of us. Incidentally, did you know that Opium
Poppie Seeds are readily available on the Web, and on eBay? Booze is also
available for anyone who has a credit card.
QUESTION: For those on the Web, have any of you ever been asked to remove
an image or other materials from their web site because of an objection?
