I've never used their product but from most of the reviews I have read their paper was lacking in uniformity, was expensive, and apparently the market rejected it. Since this is a niche product for a very vertical market where most of the practioners of alt roll their own regardless of the choosen process, what can this product provide to the alt worker?

Hi Don,

Seeing as how I A) work for the Steinbergs and B) have not yet had the oppotunity of trying Palladio paper, I do not feel I am the best person to respond to your post. Most of what I have heard of the Palladio paper is positive - I could even bring up some instances when a hand-coated image was compared to a Palladio image and the quality of the palladio was deemed superior. Could've been subjective, and could've been the coater,
but anything I say could be seen as biased. So I'll leave the response to others on the list that have used the paper.

FWIW, I don't coat my own POP, and I have been known to exploit the conveniences of Polaroid film! (I just love those edges!) ;^)
