".... You may not know it's not really 'Sabatier.' Ed Buffaloe fills us
in on the researches of William Jolly, who found that 'a Dr.
Sabatier...had the audactiy to announce [that] he had discovered a new
phenomenon,' when he had simply conducted 'an effective advertising
campaign.' Advertising pays, of course, and the name stuck, although
generally misspelled 'Sabattier.' Jolly's search also proved the original
had only one 't.'"
(That's Buffaloe, spelled with an e !)
