  Can be done but depends on the particular lens. Slow lenses of the sort used on LF cameras and press cameras often work well as enlarging lenses, especially since they will be stopped down in that use.
  Faster lenses, like an f/2 lens from a 35mm camera are likely to do worse.
  As a rule of thumb, the slower and simpler a lens the less its corrections vary with distance.
  The main loss from using a lens far from its optimised distance is correction for coma. Coma varies with the stop so, if its not too bad, stopping down will get rid of it.
  A good enlarging lens is better than a good camera lens for enlarging but a good camera lens will often work well enough to be satisfactory.
