I woud certainly also like to know about any results. Which brings me to a
question: how large do people print in platinum nowadays? I mean, even a
picture from a banquet camera neg is not very big compared with other
poster sizes.

This is by no means meant as a discouragement, Nze, but I wonder whether
platinum is really suited for such sizes. How far is it advisable to
enlarge a negativ to produce the subtleties of tone which form the
attractions of the platinum process? I ask this because I really don't know!
Heinrich Kuehn held his reservations of platinum prints as wall
decorations: only a very decent wall papering might just go with a platinum
print, he maintained, everything else would just overwhelm its subtleties,
and make it appear flat (the reservations of a gum printer!). Well, he
certainly thought of smaller sizes, and his aesthetics certainly differed
from modern ones, but might this not also be a concern for huge prints?

Apart from this, I just got a bit dizzy from calculating the costs.
