Yes, as Ed points out, the general belief system has been that the BLB is
identical to the BL except that its special (at one time more expensive,
if not now) glass blocks all wave lengths except the vicinity of 360 nm,
so the light will "fluoresce" your white socks in a disco... but since the
other wavelengths do not pass, and the processes do have some other spikes
of sensitivity, they are somewhat slower.
I'd call the techies at GE & whichever ...for starters.
