I interpreted this as adding more Dektol stock
solution to the working solution... but the author
will have to confirm this for you.
However...
Adding Dektol to liquid light does increase speed and
contrast. Use of a ratio of 1:10 (or was it 1:9?)is
reccommended by the manufacturer.
Not positive of exact reason... it could be a result
of the increased pH in addition to reduction
sensitization; there may also be a significant silver
solvent effect... in any case the effect is
instantaneous.
