I have not tried this but it seems to make sense that it would be an easy,
low cost way to get a "starter" contact printing frame.
Wall-mart carries a line of very cheap, oak 8 X 10 picture frames that have
small thin metal tabs that are bent and unbent to insert and remove a
picture. Using this as a base ( or what ever size you may need ) one only
needs two pieces of plywood that would fit in place of a picture, black felt
and a thin sheet of 8 X 10 foam. Find a few bricks to weigh down the edges
and I would think that for less that $10 one would have a starter print
frame.
The glass is thinner that single strength glass so maybe would stop less UV,
if that was an issue.
