Anyone who plans to be in the Albuquerque area this month might want to
check out a student show of Van Dyke prints, made with 4x5 pinholes. The
students are members of Working Classroom, a non-profit arts program that
does remarkable work, in English and Spanish, in all the fine arts.
The show, Art from a Box, will hang at Visiones Gallery, 212 Gold SW,
Albuquerque, from April 19 to June 14. The opening reception is Friday,
April 26, from 6 to 8 pm. The show, to my endless delight, will be curated
by the fabulous local photographer, Miguel Gandert.
If you're nearby, come on down, listen to flamenco, and check out the
prints.
And a very big tip of the hat to Bostick & Sullivan, which helped
underwrite the cost of the show.
