Commercial silver plate thickness for Daguerrotypes

Hi all:

I want information, if possible, about the thickness of silver plate that you buy in USA for Daguerreotypes. What is the silver proportion?. Proportion 2 silver metal and 100 copper is good?. I have a silversmith friend that want to make for me this silver plates.

Any technical information about clad plates?. What machinery and utensils we need?.
