Many thanks for caring, and more thanks to those who sent kind words off
list. If praise were time & strength I could go on forever.
As it is, assuming I survive the upgrade from hell, not yet a sure thing,
there will be two more Post-Factory's as part of the series, that is
through Issue #9. (I've begun work on #8...) I reserve the right to
publish Post-Factory Almanac(s) at intervals in future, but I have a
couple of other books on back burner that need doing, and P-F has gotten
my nearly all starting with the first computer upgrade in late '97 --
which I thought at the time was hellacious. Little did I know.
However, I've increased print run & done digital reprints of issues sold
out, so the set can remain in print -- as "Post-Factory Encylopedia," or
like that... It's true, I don't see the point of publishing "on the web"
(we've had that discussion before, and I haven't changed my mind). But
distribution of single issues of a small periodical by United States Post
Office is difficult. Even with a better-run PO, like for instance the one
in Outer Mongolia, or the Ecuadorian rain forest, I'd still need a
breather.
I have info about subscribing and back issues in e-format -- ask offlist &
I'm delighted to send, or to answer other questions. I'm planning to make
the last two issues 52 pages (4 extra) & still fear not getting everything
in...I'll send teaser(s) in due course about interviewees and so forth
upcoming -- but admit now there will be a LOT about albumen.
There is in fact a website, or was, Wade Allen gave P-F a page at -- oh
good grief, another casualty of the upgrade, I lost the sticky with the
web address. I have it somewhere & will provide, but it's mostly general
PR & info.... There's also,

which has a download of a golden-oldie article about bromoil, and will
soon have the Index of Issues #1-7. Honesty compels me to admit that
index has been ready these several months, needing just one more touch --
the hanging indent, which, given that the thing is 36 pages long, i
thought was essential. (It turns out to be very difficult to find a
hanging indent, or someone who knows how to get one.)
