A couple weeks ago while I was washing some negatives I thought it would be
really easy to save some water and time by not having to put things down to
free a hand to turn water on and off. So my solution was to hook up a a
solenoid valve to one of my temp controlled water taps that can be operated
by a foot switch. $40 later I now have a flexible 1/4" copper line that
comes into the sink that I can turn on and off with my foot. I thought it
might be a little over the top, but after 5 film runs and a print session it
has proven to be a great tool.
