If you want to make your own, Tiron is 4,5-dihydroxy-1,3-benzenedisulphonic
acid, disodium salt monohydrate, (HO)2C6H2(SO3Na)2.H2O. Don't know anything
about it myself, but you might find some info on Mike Ware's site. In my
Aldrich catalogue it's 7.80 GB pounds (around $12) for 25 g, or 22 GBP ($33)
for 100 g.

Was in a classic CHEMISTRY manual in the Pratt library. About 10 years
ago. But I assume it would be in any comprehensive chemistry reference
work.
