Part of the careful mixing is to have accurate double metal salt and
sensitizer solutions. Not enough metal will result in weaker prints.
Too much metal will not seem to be a problem. However, when more than
one metal salt is used and they are in excess, there is no way to tell
which will be used with the sensitizer and which will be wasted. An
intended ratio using accurate solutions, should give consistent results
in the print.
