I don't know about this process and forgive me if I am _way off_ here, but dye
sublimation uses a transfer paper to migrate inkjet dyes/pigments into a
polyester substrate through heat; perhaps those products/processes could be
adapted to your printmaking. I work the sign industry and there are other
printing processes that utilize a transfer process to achieve a final print.

Could you give us a better idea of the properties of these substrates and
processes so I could maybe turn you on to another product?
