Also, I 'd have to disagree about the bare bulb flash being the same. I
remember my (slight) awe when reviewing the bulb flash family snapshots
of a girlfriends' dad back in the late 70s. The light was soft edged and
produced a more open shadow that any flash I'd ever seen. At the time I
was uninterested in pursuing alt-photo anything so I only have my memory
for the argument, not experience.
