I think you would need to get different 4 x 5 holders. The depth would have
to be deep enough to hold the glass. These are often for sale on EBay for
from $5. to $8 I think.

Hello, I am new to this list, but I've heard great
things about it. Hope you ladies and gentlemen can
help me, and please forgive my English as I am not

Im very interested in trying traditional tintype, but
I dont know where to get Japanned Lacquer to coat the
tin plates; I dont know how to adjust my 4x5 film
holder for wet plate.
Can anyone enlighten me about this? I've been to the
Scully and Ostermans collodion website and just send
my subscription for the collodion journal but I would
like some more information..
By the way , I got curious about this process after
reading Christopher Jamess book: is easy and
great!!!
