Hey Sandy,
I was told by the retailer that the bulbs (GE) had a life of about 10,000
hours and that I should replace them after 1/4 of their life because they
lose output drastically after that period of time. I would estimate the use
of the bulbs at somewhere around 1500 hours. I still have the old bulbs; I
hate to throw anything away (take a look at my stack of reject prints; now
over four feet high - he,he). Seriously though, I guess the store was just
trying to get more money out of someone who didn't know better. I thought
that replacing them might make for faster printing times.
