This may interest potential Pigment printers ( Gum, Direct Carbon etc.,
etc.,)
If materials for Pigment printing were offered "Ready Mixed" on
the commercial market which of the following items would you be most
interested in, if any.
Please note:- THE BRAND NAMES ARE PURELY FICTITIOUS.
!. Ready mixed Base Size, "FLOWGEL". Liquid gelatine. Just warm and brush.
Extended setting time ensures no streak marks.Can be used for Oil Printing
base.
2. Ready mixed "EASYGEL". Specially formulated liquid gelcoating for pigment
printing. Similar to "FLOWGEL" but with added ingredients for use with
Direct pigment printing.
3. Ready mixed "FLOWGEL COLOR". Liquid pigment suspension for use with Direct
Pigment printing. May be brushed or rolled. Comes in Red,Blue,Yellow, Green,
Black and White.
4. "SENSAMIX". A concentrated solution wich may be diluted for sensitizing
"FLOWGEL COLOR" or for dunking coated papers for Direct pigment
printing.
5. Ready Sized paper especially prepared for application of "EASYGEL" or for
sensitizing with "SENSAMIX ". Comes in various surfaces or can be
supplied to specification. Can be used for Oil Printing.
6. Pigment coated paper ready to receive UV exposure after sensitizing with
"SENSAMIX" to produce Direct Pigment prints from full size B/W negatives.

Personally, I prefer to prepare my own mixes and materials but
others may not have the facilities for doing this. "Liquid Light" silver
emulsion has been deemed to be a commercial risk worth taking. Could
something similar to the above become a reality?
