I do about what Carl mentions here. I keep this outbuilding where I print at
high 50s and bring it up to high 60s / low 70s for the print day. But I start
printing when it hits the mid 60s and I've noticed none of the problems
associated w/ low temp printing. As I'm working in New Mexico, I also have to
deal w/ too low humidity. The little sonic room humidifer (~$20 at Walgreens) I
put on the edge of the table where I coat and under which I print (in Edwards
Oven). I turn the humid. on maybe two hours before I start work and find the
humidity around the coating table area up to 40 or 50 (from 25-30) by the time I
start. Also, though, I do the thing of swirling the paper around in front of the
humidifier for a minute or so just before coating and for about the same time
after the coating has dried and I'm about to expose. This stuff has resulted in
prints that lack the problems associated w/ temp and humidity. Now all I have to
do is figure out about a hundred other problems.... -jeff buckels
