Here's a rough copy of the APIS program.

I'm late to the airport so no editing!

Here is the programme:

We now have a pretty good programme for the 2002 APIS on Saturday and
Sunday July 13 and 14. There will a special visit behind the scenes to the
world class collections of photographs and equipment at midday on Friday 12
July.

There will be a number of talks on practice, process, influences and
history but the main emphasis will be on the pictures. Remember that
pictures are to be chosen for inclusion in the illustrated proceedings of
APIS 2002 which will be published, free to those attending APIS, as a
special edition of The PhotoHistorian at a price to be announced.

Space to display portfolios will be provided in a separate room. Everyone
who wishes to do so will have the opportunity to talk to APIS about their
work.

Friday 12 July.

12 00 Special visit to the collections. Meet in the foyer of the Museum.

Saturday 13 July

09 30 Registration and Coffee (see directions in the foyer).

10 00 Introduction to APIS by Terry King and Dick Sullivan

10 10 Ernestine Rubin will talk about her pictures and her choice of
alternative
processes to make them. (a substitute speaker will be found)

11 00 Presentation of portfolios ( there will be a time limit for each
speaker )

11 30 Comfort break

11 40 Presentation of portfolios

12 00 Galina Manikova, Photography on ceramics.

12 45 Speaker to be announced or, depending on the weather,a group calotype
of APIS to be taken by Richard Morris immediate past Chairman of The
Historical Group

13 00 Buffet lunch

1400 A demonstration of the oleobrom process by Kirk Toft.

14 45 A joint talk by Professors Alschuler and Bjelkhagen on the Lippmann
process, a nineteenth century process that gave images in brilliant colour
with examples by Professors Bjelkhagen and Anschuler and Darren
Green.

15 30 Comfort break

1540 Jan Faul on computers and alternative processes. Jan's talk will serve as
an introduction to a discussion on the use of computers for the making of
internegs and on multimedia applications.

16 45 Portfolios

Until close.

20 00 Dinner at a restaurant specialising in Bradford's famous Asian cuisine.

Sunday 14 July

09 30 Meet for coffee

10 00 Galina Manikova on alternative processes on 'alternative' surfaces.

11 00 Linda Bussey on an 'alternative' installation.

11 25 Comfort break

11 30 Stan Klimek of California talks on his experience of alternative
processes
from ambrotype to platinum over gum

12 10 Dr Michael Maunder will introduce Dr Dunstan Perara's process using
pigmented light
sensitive polymers including examples of work by Dr Dunstan Perera and others.

12 40 Portfolios

13 00 Lunch

14 00 Group calotype or speaker to be announced.

14 15 Dick Sullivan on plans for the manufacture of colour tissues for carbon
and Carbro printing. Examples of work by Gerard Asniers will be
shown.

15 45 Portfolios

15 30 Comfort break

15 35 Influences and style in alternative photography with reference to Puyo,
Frederick Evans and others. in his talk Terry Kingcurrent Chairman
of The Historical Group, will show examples
his work and of others

16 10 Process or Pictures or Both ? Or Why do we do it ?'

A panel of speakers will explain why they have devoted their time to
alternative processes and taken the choices they have. The floor will
then be open for discussion.
