You missed one very important point. BL (and all fluorescent) bulbs are
really low temperature mercury containment systems. One 5000 watt metal
halide bulb contains an equivalent amount of mercury as a single
fluorescent tube (accd. to the olec people). SInce 5000 watts of BL tubes
would require a bank of at least 50 tubes, the environmental consequences
of using BL bulbs is at least 50 times as great. Tsk, Tsk on all you BL
