Since several people have requested this
information, I will post to the
group. This is a bleach and redevelop process. First, be sure the negative is properly fixed and cleared, otherwise streaking may result. If in doubt, you may refix and clear with hypo clear or similar and rinse as usual. This whole process may be done in normal room light. 1. Pre soak film 2. Bleach in a solution of 2tsp. potassium ferricyanide plus 1tsp. potassium bromide to a pint of water. Bleach until all black density is gone. There will remain a ghost image only. 3. Expose negative to bright light. 4. Redevelop in PMK Pyro as described in Gordon Hutching's book "The Book of Pyro", an excellent scource of information on the use of pyro developer. I usually use the normal developing times for each film and develop in flat bottom trays. Use frequent agitation. There is no need to refix or to place the negatives back in the developer as is recommended for normal initial development with pyro. (There is some discussion in this group as to whether that is necessary even then.) It is possible to repeat the process if more contrast is desired. Here are some development times for some commonly used films from Hutching's book. Film: Temp: Normal Normal+1 TriX 70 F 14 min. 20 min. HP5 70 F 13 min. 16 min. HP5 80 F 8 min. 10 min. FP4 70 F 10 min. 13 min. FP4 80 F 7 min. You might try this on a duplicate or discardable negative first! Good luck. I hope this helps.
