DEAR LIST,
I am having a ball with my turn of the (last!) century cherry wood and
brass Kodak 5X7 camera! It sat in storage for a few decades while I tried
to play fashion photographer.
I recently exhumed it and it still works! Packard shutter, Leitmeyer
(sp?) portrait lens, and all! The only problem I am having is a small about
of light leaking in at the flap end of the sheet film holders due to aging
of the tape hinge that the flaps in place allows them to fold back so one
can slide in the sheets of film.
Can someone suggest a tape that is:
1) light tight (black) and strong.
2) flexible.
3) not adversely affected by my rather humid Island environment. Many tapes
get
rather flimsy and sticky.
If this is off topic, please feel free to e-mail me off list.
CHEERS FROM BARBADOS!
BOB
