Lens checking is easily accomplished by placing the lens (or part of the
lens if too large) in the sample position of a UV spectrophotometer. Most
chemistry departments have one, so they are easy to find. As for exposure
times, my results were following the law of inverse squares pretty closely
- a 2x enlargement required 4x the exposure of a contact print. Best - Ed
