Today, I compared the test strip that was soaked in water for several
hours and then dried, against the original paper. Although the very
smooth surface texture remained pretty well, the bluish tint seen in
the original stock disappeared, and the paper color is more like
normal paper white with a little bit of cream in it. Maybe I should
compare the color of washed and dried paper strips instead of colors
of stock papers when looking for the brightest paper.
