Good grief, I forgot the main point I was trying to make with my
clarification about the difference between the lithographers' gum and
the others: the point being that when I speak of the consistency of
gum, I'm speaking only about pure gum acacia mixed from powder; I don't
know what's in that other stuff, and it seems different to me in a
number of aspects.
