No, it was on the list at least 4, maybe 5 years ago --but for gum. I've
also seen it in old books as an additive to gum emulsion. In fact I have
a little book from 1905 in the "Practical Photographer" series, on
"Gum-Bichromate." I'm pretty sure one of the articles mentioned alcohol.
If I find the book, I'll check.
I used isopropl alcohol about 1 part to 3 parts emulsion to coat a
slippery non-absorbent surface with gum. It definitely helped, though
still didn't work really well.
