My ex-wife uses a digital camera that she got for $10 at one of the big
office supply places. The resolution is only something like 150x250, so
the pictures are terrible. Because of the mis-alignment of the 3 colors
inherent in digital cameras and the low resolution, there's color fringing
everywhere.
She took one part of a picture (probably less than 100x100 pixels) and
enlarged it to print at about 24x24 inches and started smearing the image
in photoshop (manually, not using one of the photoshop effects). The
result is something that looks like an abstract Monet!
