My experience with drying coated cyanos is that If the paper is not sized (I use Fabriano 100% cotton), and I leave it face up to dry for 30 min, the emulsion will get deep into the fibres and the results will be a less contrasty paper, with low Dmax (a weak cyan color). Instead, If I give the paper 5 minutes of drying with hair drier (cool air) just after coating, the results are much more interesting (more contrast and rich cyan tones). I have examples with the same neg, if some want´s to see them I can upload them to my wpage.

Is Cyanotype more heat sensitive than other processes? Or am I thinking of some other process? This is a good question... suggestions on using a hair dryer on different processes? What if it's just a rinse and curl?
Thanks,

Any reason you can't blow-dry after coating, rather than waiting for it
to air dry?
