PICTURE THIS Projects' traveling exhibition of photographs by Chicago kids
is on its way to:
Uptown Branch of the Chicago Public Library

Join us at a special reception
Saturday afternnoon, July 26 from 1-3 p.m.
This is of course a kid-friendly event, so bring a kid or two. Forward this
invitation to anyone you think appreciates kids, art, photography, nice
people and Chicago. And of course, refreshments will be served.
This exhibition celebrating our 10th anniversary, titled "PICTURE THIS
Decade" features recent work and some of our favorite images from the
archives. The kids' work includes images of their friends, family,
neighborhood, strangers, cityscapes and compositions that "break the
rules".
As you may or may not know, PICTURE THIS Projects is a not-for-profit group
of volunteer photographers and other community member creating and
supporting photo projects that encourage creative expression and
self-esteem and help bridget the gap between people of different
backgrounds. Our specialty is teaming kids up with adults and together
they explore their neighborhood and personal vision through the lens of
their camera. More images can be seen and more can be learned about
PICTURE THIS Projects at www.picturethisprojects.org.
The exhibition will be on display from July 14-August 29.
Library's hours: M-Th: 9 a.m - 8 p.m., Friday-Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.,
closed Sundays.
