There is a simple Recipe in Martin Reed's book called "Silver Gelatin" page
129. This book also contains basic steps with pictures for the beginner.

When it comes to coating glass you will need to clean and sub it. You can
use gelatin with Chrom Alum or even better albumen.
This will prevent frilling. Coat with a coating rod. I think there is
documentation online somewhere about the method.

You then will need to expose it. I am using a Modern Toyo with Dry plate
holders from 1907. Modern film hangers take the 1mm glass I use for tank
development.

Good Luck Halvor and thanks for the reference,

Scott.
