On a sunny day, set your lens aperture at f16 and your shutter speed at the
ASA rating of the film. That's the "sunny 16" version. Many of us, including
me, get better results using f11 instead, thus the "sunny 11" alternative.

Subject: Easy Question F/11 or F/16 rule...
Here is a question that should be easy!
I have forgot the f/16 (??) rule... seen in the A. Adams
book about on a bright sunny day ASA 100 and shutter speed
of X the proper F/ stop being...Y... I can't seem to
recall the details...
Can someone remind me?
Thanks
Ray
