I have experience with these type of negs. As others have stated, it
requires all tonal, spotting, and other manipulations to be finalized
before the radical (Photoshop) curve is applied, converting to a
dithered "bitmap" image at a high resolution, and converted to a neg
(not necessary if you have the service bureau convert to neg within the
output process).
Two of my images in the most recent traveling portfolio were from this
type of negative. FWIW, the service bureau is an important link in any
successful output. I recommend testing a single image before committing
to a series.
